Alex Schrock is a guitarist, composer and educator in the Columbus area. Originally from Canton, Ohio, Alex began playing bass at age 12, then switched the guitar in high school and never looked back. He received his bachelor’s in music composition from the University of Akron and his master’s in music composition from Cleveland State University. In addition to studying composition, Alex studied guitar and piano and played in several ensembles.
After finishing his MM, Alex moved to Columbus where he’s been teaching since 2013. He teaches guitar, piano, bass guitar and ukulele and has worked with a wide variety of students. He has also conducted group classes and workshops for kids.
